Tania Wadhawan

Tania is a seasoned Finance and Accounting professional with over 25 years of experience in areas such as accounting, reporting, higher education, tax and federal government contracts.  She joined The George Washington University in 2010 as the Manager of Audit & Compliance in Grants and Contracts Accounting.  

Before her tenure at GW, Tania worked as a government contracts consultant and in public accounting, focusing on audits and tax preparation in the DC metropolitan area.  She earned a dual B.S. degree in Accounting and Information Systems from George Mason University.

As the Director of Grants & Contracts Accounting Services, Tania oversees the teams that are responsible for the university’s financial management of sponsored projects, including preparation of financial statements, coordinating the annual Single audit and developing the university’s Negotiated Indirect Cost Rate Agreement. She leads a talented team of experts within the Grants & Contracts Accounting Services group.
